Lauren’s passion for food and wine began at an early age, growing up in and around the restaurants that her parents owned in Phoenix, Arizona. She later attended the culinary and hospitality school, Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina. In addition to earning a B.A degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management, Lauren studied abroad at the Spermalie Hotel School in Bruges, Belgium. Lauren learned a great deal about the European food and beverage industry, visiting many breweries and wineries in Belgium and the surrounding countries.
After college and her study abroad, Lauren completed an internship at one of Charleston’s finest hotels, Charleston Place--owned and managed by Orient Express. Upon completion of her internship, she was immediately asked to join the team at Charleston Place and worked in multiple departments there. Lauren was offered a sales position at the Doubletree Guest Suites Historic Charleston and later became a Front Office Manager at that property.
Lauren was hired in January, 2008 as a US Sales Representative for Banks Channel. Lauren is thrilled to be using her strong hospitality background to build relationships with US distributors as well as individual accounts as she works to introduce new brands in Banks Channel’s US portfolio. Lauren is single and lives in Winston Salem, NC.
